Day 1, Dive #1 -Kerengga Besar (Depth 17.9m, 44mins, 300c, Visibility 10-15m)
Its been 2 months!! & a long awaited break from school.. and celebrating our anniversary!! the 10 hr journey was a killer but rigging up the gear, the adrenaline rush, the light-headedness, the peace.. it was worth it.. mostly hard corals with pretty acroporas more vibrant in colour than Aur #1 lime green acro.. #2,3 rarer coloured moon corals, #4 a red candy cane.. #5 blastamosa and #6 pretty pot shaped sponges > 1m in heaight.. saw a blue ring angel and lovely yellow & black striped feather starfish.. clams of all colours.. Redang's so much more colourful for hard corals.. not much of soft corals here though..
Day 1, Dive #2 -Black Coral Garden (Depth 20.1m, 46mins, 300c, Visibility 10-15m)
The loveliest most beautiful, breath taking and the dive of all dives!! I'm sooo in love after this dive.. for a moment i just stopped in silence.. taking in all its beauty.. so much grander is this creation of God.. that i felt so small and tears just filled my eyes.. an indescribable miracle.. everything just stood still as i hovered in awe.. the sea bed was covered with Lettuce, Montiporas, Acroporas of all colour.. like a garden someone took a lot of effort into designing.. Gigantic #4 Cauliflowers that i could hug.. 1m in height.. its a submerged reef.. a whole cliff beautifully landscaped.. layers upon layers of table top, cup corals, acroporas.. scattered with soft corals.. right at the bottom, the whole reef stood at an amazing height of 18m.. Everything in Redang was BIGGER.. even the trigger fish.. at Aur, they were at most 2 palms.. here.. they were really huge.. and i was actually scared for once.. Saw a pretty 60cm porcupine fish.. white feather starfish and Gregorian.. purple with yellow polyps.. and #6 a pair of crocodile fish.. really cutes..
Day 2, Dive #3 -Terembu Kecil (Depth 19m, 56mins, 300c, Visibility 10-15m)
#1 big Moray Eel in a pot sponge.. this fella's really cute.. underwater it looks as if it was bout 15cm wide.. #2 lotsa Soldier fish.. looks really dumb.. haha.. #3 Dog-Face Puffer love the way these fellas look at you.. like so guilty of something! #4 Nudibranch.. Flabellina!! our favourite shot this trip!! really vibrant in colours.. almost like a dragon!!
Day 2, Dive #4 -Unknown Site (Depth 17m, 45mins, 300c, Visibility 10-15m)
This dive site is a new one.. additional dive in search of sharks!! only managed to see a couple of them swimming FAR away.. and a kita-ray that zoomed past us in wat seemed like nano-seconds.. FLASh! at least we were comforted by the spotting of #2 Pygmy file fish they're really tiny and hard to spot and almost blends in with the cauliflower that's their hiding place.. also caught the #2 Sexy shrimp they do sorta like a dance with their butts.. left right left right.. HOT!!
Day 2, Dive #5 -Cik Isa (Depth 18m, 55mins, 300c, Visibility 10-15m)
#1 Baby LionFish really the smallest i've seen so far.. its real cute at this size.. #2 Hermit Crab almost eluded us.. but its colourful face was real pretty!
Day 2, Dive #6 -Southern Tip (Depth 15.2m, 50mins, 300c, Visibility 10-15m)
Saw two lovely blue-ring angels at the entrance of a cave.. under the cliff.. Ivan & I paused and looked into the huge cave.. felt like two kids with their teddies standing at the foot of a brand new world.. such a awesome feeling.. next.. Cave-Diving!! 3 Black tip sharks!! closer up.. they're kinda big and magnificent!! and guess wat we saw sleeping away in broad day-light? #1 2m++ Baracuda! and his 5 companion that were swimming around.. *freeze* #2Pot Sponge - Heart-Shaped!! then there were #3 2 Crocodile fish piggy-backing each other.. and a green jealous 3rd party #4 Gregornian in bloom.. love its vivid yellow colour with purple centre!
Not forgetting always.. the beauty of each island.. the islanders.. perfecting the whole dive trip with their rustic charms..
